Can I get a whoop whoop?!
I got my cast off this morning!! Whoo hoo! It feels so great to be able to wash my hand and put lotion on!!! Oh the creature comforts. On a sadder note I have part of my cast back on, as a brace. But he re-lined it so it's fresh and new and it's just on by velcro, so I can take it off whenever I want. So anyway. The thing I'm most looking forward to? Taking a shower and washing my hair with both hands. Aaahhhhh....

When does imagination become dangerous?
When your 3 year old son goes to the front door, unlocks it, and welcomes in Wall-E, who has come to visit, while you are otherwise occupied.
Yeah. It freaked me out when I heard the front door opening, so I race to it, and Kai is standing there. He looks at me and smiles and said Wall-E came to visit. So he opened the door, told Wall-E to come in, then closed the door, re-locked it and showed Wall-E upstairs. He then watched a movie with us, and Kai fed him imaginary bananas and snacks and not so imaginary chips, that Kai had to help with. A little while later we had another visitor...Eva (Wall-E's girlfriend, for those who haven't seen it). I convinced him to just yell at Eva to come in, rather than go open the door again.
I don't think I really ever expected it! I don't know if that's because I don't remember if I ever did that or what, but now that it's here...it's hilarious! And slightly dangerous!

A New Dining Experience
So ever since we moved into this townhouse, we haven't had a "real" dining room table. Mostly because our dining room is so small, a normal size table wouldn't fit in there, and we didn't want to spend a few hundred on a set that we most likely wouldn't use in the future, because it was so small. So finally I convinced hubby to help me build a table. It was a fraction of the cost, we could get the perfect size we wanted for our space...and it was fun! So finally, after a few Saturdays and thanks to a "snow day" weekend, we got it done! Here it is....I'm so proud!

I still want to find some cheap chairs from goodwill or something to refinish or cover. But we have a real table now....I'm so excited. Our first meal on it was fajitas...and it worked perfect :)

Fun Stuff
So it's been a pretty crazy past couple of days.....I'll let the pictures explain.

So that's my hand....in a cast...isn't that the craziest cast you've ever seen? Yeah, so 5 weeks ago I was playing volleyball....spiked a ball and felt pain in my thumb. It was painful ever since...it never got better, and I would keep hitting my thumb over and over every day, re-injuring it. So I finally went into the doctor at the end of last week, and I tore a ligament in my thumb. He said if I had come in right away after my injury, I would have been in a cast for 6 weeks. Now I have to be in it for 4 weeks.....so now I had 5 weeks of excruciating pain, then a cast for 4 weeks. Oh well. It feels really great now, because I can't move it, so that part is fantastic. But I feel pretty retarded, a grown woman in a cast. Cameron tried to get me to do hot pink...but I felt blue was more dignified! What do you think?!

Your Prayers Are Needed
A friend of Cameron's from forever ago is missing at sea. He and a few friends went deep sea fishing, storms rose up, and they have been missing now for 3 days. The boat was found with one person on it...not our friend. If you could keep the families in your prayers...they are in need of comfort now. If you want to know the whole story, here's the link. Our friend is Marquis Cooper, the owner of the boat, we don't know the others.

What is it with my son?
Not to get too graphic here, but he refuses to do #2 on the potty. He has been perfect about potty training for like 3 weeks now, no accidents or anything....except for that. We'll find him in a corner or behind the desk chair and we have to race him to the toilet. Just now I heard him in the dining room, I look over there and sure enough. Red faced and all. So I tell him he needs to go potty, he screams no, ducks under the dining room chair, because after all, I can't see him under there. So I go to get him, bring him into the bathroom tell him to go potty, and he says "Oh. This." Yes son, that's where you go 5 -10 times a day everyday....not anything new. So he gets on and it's like I'm torturing him. He screams and cries and begs to get off, tells me he's done, anything to get off. I don't get this!?! Any advice? He doesn't act scared, and doesn't tell us he's scared. He finally will calm down enough and sit there until something happens. Right now he's singing. Why can't he just go there in the first place?
