What are we going to do with this kid?!

So Kai and I have been sick for the past few days/years....at least that's what it feels like. And Kai used to be such a sweet, cute, sick kid. All he'd want to do was cuddle, and he was quiet and just such a nice little person. Oh for those days to be back. Now he is an ornery, irritable monster. It's sad, but true. So for the past few days Cameron and I have heard nothing but screaming whenever he doesn't like what he hears. Anyway, so here we are sleeping this morning at the unfortunate hour of about 6:00 am. We were suddenly jolted straight out of our bed with the shrill screams of our son. The exact kind of scream that is letting us know he is trying to do something, and we haven't responded. And when I say we were jolted out of bed, it was more like I barely opened one eye halfway and wondered what in the world could he be screaming about...wait a second, I still don't care, and closed my eye again. Cameron more humanely got out of bed and went to go check on him. After all, there has to be a good reason he was screaming, right? And it wasn't just one scream either people. This was a good 3 or 4 screams. So Cameron goes in to check on him.......and Kai is sound asleep. He had been yelling at us in his sleep. Oh my. Where did we go wrong?!
