ZOO!!!

So Cameron had the fabulous idea of us going to the zoo Saturday morning, it's the first morning we've had together in a really long time, without something else going on, so we had to fill it! So we went, and had such a great time!! A picture says a thousand words......so here's so you guys don't get bored reading!

First picture of the day...
What a great start! From the parking lot (yes the parking lot...I was too excited to wait for a photo op!) we move on to the lions. Yeah,we hit the heavy stuff first...

Okay, and here's a couple pics of the lions...From there we went to a few shows and saw some more animals.

The Sea Lions were a hit...

And we saw how big a polar bear paw is...
Here's enjoying a day with dad...
Riding the very exciting train!

Here's Dolly, the exercising elephant:

And Kai's favorite, the tiger.
After the day was over, Kai was, well I'll let the picture explain.....

Just kidding, he loved it!

And that was our day at the zoo! Go to my photography blog to see some more pics of the animals and scenery :)

Heritage Square

So for Mother's Day, Cameron sent me a card (because I was in UT), and in it was an invitation to Heritage Square for dinner and a show. The show is a comedy/some improv/music/awesomeness. So last Thursday we went.....it was SO fun! I loved the place, and the show was hilarious, we were crying during some parts of it, we were laughing so hard. It was their Retro Loud show, so it was favorite parts of previous Loud shows, which are their music from the decades shows. So anyways, it was pretty hilarious and a lot of fun. I can't wait for the fall, because they are doing a comic rendition of Hound of the Baskervilles or something like that. Should be fun!

Youth Conference

So youth conference last week was awesome! The leaders who put it together did an amazing job, and the kids stretched themselves to things they have never done, and it was so great! Here's some pictures of what we did!

We went repelling....I went repelling! I loved it, it was so great! This is me :)
We went zip lining.....SO fun! This is Bishop zip lining, it then correlated into Lehi's dream....

They had a team building activity to get over a 7 ish foot log, they had to all get over, and once they were over they couldn't help the others on the beginning side, if they did they had to start over....

And they did it!

They played volleyball in their spare time...
And ate some great food!

We had some great firesides. Both inside....And out!

They had a great time bonding and strengthening their testimonies. It was a great 3 days!

Speaking of favorite words...

One of my favorites was happiness......and I have a very good reason to be happy right now! We saw our townhouse yesterday, we liked it, and we put our deposit down on it! We are moving in/out on July 12th! Whoo hooo! There is a lot to get done and ready for it, and I am so excited!

Words...

There are some words in the English language that are just fantastic. Dessert, Caribbean, Family, Happiness, Vacations, just to name a few of my favorites. I added one this week. Benign. Weird word when you look at it, but can hold a lot of power. I have had a "spot" on my back that I have been pretty concerned about for a long time now, I was afraid it was melanoma. I was afraid to get pregnant, because if it was cancer, obviously not a good thing, afraid to go out into the sun and make it worse, etc. Finally I faced my fear (after over a year, yes I know, next time it will be much sooner), figured whatever the outcome it needed to be taken care of, so I went in to the doctor. She relieved all my fears, told me she was 95% sure it was a benign tumor and we could take care of it. So next month I go in to have it removed, they'll biopsy it just to be sure, but then all that will remain is a sweet scar! Such a weight was lifted from my shoulders. Just knowing what it isn't is such a huge relief. Benign....what a great word!

The big YC today

So today we head out at 2:00 PM for our youth conference. We're staying up on our bishop's property till Saturday afternoon......wish all us leaders luck! It'll be fun, there's a lot of great activities planned, and I think the kids are going to have a great experience. I'll bring back pictures!

Whoo hoo!!

So last night we decided to turn in our application tomorrow to a place to live! It's the columbine meadows, not far from where we live now, but unfortunately in a different ward :( But moving into a fun ward where we know lots of people, so we're excited. So tomorrow we go to look and we'll hopefully be moving sometime between July 1 and July 15. That's just my hopes, I don't actually know when the house is available, she said July, but I don't know when in July. So anyways, that's my exciting news....pray for us that everything goes well and quickly and that we can get outta here!!

Some funness....

Here's some fun pictures of when Dad came to pick us up from Utah. We went to Pine Lake and had some fun. And yes....my hair is significantly shorter...I chopped it all off...and I love it!

Kai loving the sun.....
Kai eating a pinecone.....

A fun family picture....
And no, that's not a random person in the back....just my uncle!

And playing in the stream.

Happy Happy Birthday!

It was Cameron's birthday on Sunday,( I won't tell you how old he is....but I bet you can guess by the pictures....!) I made a fabulous dinner (I would like to think anyway!) of chicken cordon bleu, fettuccine alfredo and some fabulous sides including asparagus and a mandarin salad. I also made a way fun grasshopper ice cream cake, of which are the pictures. It was so fun, and my new favorite cooking item is the square springform pan! Gotta love Kohl's! Happy (late on the blog) birthday hunny!

Friends

Kai is so happy to be home, he has gotten to play a lot with his friends. Here's a few pictures... (including pictures of him with his betrothed!)
