Camping

So two weekends ago we went camping up at Turquoise Lake in Leadville, CO. It was the first time we've camped as a family since Kai was born, and it was SO fun. Kai loved it, dad got to fish, and mom got to relax and spend time with her bff! Here's some pics, we can't wait to get out and do it again soon!
It got a little cold the first night/early morning, so Kai came and snuggled with me.....I didn't get much sleep after that, but at least he was warm!

Ben, Dena and Brook....we love camping with you guys!!!! Me, Kai, Dena, Brook...happy campers...

Or not so happy campers....Sunset on day two....beautiful.
Moonlight Serenade anyone....??

As promised...

Here's a couple pictures of the newest grandchild on our side of the family. Jordyn Jane, and she looks just like Kaylynn!! Congrats guys, I can't wait to see her at the blessing!
Well I just wanted to write a quick note, let everyone know we are still alive!! We are moved in, we finally got our computer up and running this past weekend, so that's nice, although now I have no excuse to ignore our bills....which is probably a good thing! We love our new ward, we're loving our new house....Kai LOVES his own room and his new bed....it's his pride and joy!! He has to show it to anyone who comes over! I have to get some pictures off my camera, then I can post some fun pics of our camping trip last weekend. Kai loved it, loved sleeping in a tent, loved helping dad fish, and loved the marshmallows!!! We went with the Douglass fam and had so much fun! But more to come about that! See ya around the blog!

Lots to blog about today!

I move today....and tomorrow! We sign our lease this afternoon, and are moving all the stuff we have at the house tonight...then tomorrow we get the rest of our stuff from storage and move it in!!!! I can't even tell you how excited I am!!! And here's a few pictures, so you get an idea of where I'm going!

This is the complex...we are in one of the blue ones (ours is not pictured here, but exactly the same). And here's our floor plan.
Okay, so you can't see it really great, but if you're just dying to know, you can go to columbine meadows.com and it's the Novato model. We have 2 bed 2 1/2 bath, it's a little over 1400 sq ft, has a garage, basement, a nice bay window in the living room and a wood burning fireplace! It's pretty decent, especially for the price, so I'm pretty excited. Of course once I move in, I'll take pictures :) Whoo hoo!!! 6 hours and counting!

I'm a new Auntie!!

My sister just had her baby this morning, Jordyn Jane Hardy, 7lbs 15 oz, dark brown hair. That's all I know, but as soon as I get pics and more info I'll update! Congrats Kaylynn and David!!!

Royal Gorge

So we went to the Royal Gorge on Wednesday, for those of you who have never heard of it, like myself, it's a super way deep canyon...grand canyon like....but not nearly as deep or big, but it does have the claim to fame for having the highest suspension bridge in the world. It was about a 1/4 of a mile long, and swayed when you walked across it, and it's scary because cars will drive along it as you're walking along, and you're like dude, I don't want to die today. But it's pretty fun, and there are lots of activities there, that are all included with your admission ticket price, so that's nice. Anyways, here's a few pictures! (Our new family picture (above) is taken in the canyon also, btw)
