Zoo Day!

My sister in law Rachel invited us out today for a zoo day.  It was a beautiful day and Kennedi's first real time at the zoo.  We had so much fun!  Thanks Rach and Jon!!

Kennedi's piggies.  Her hair is finally getting long enough...ish :)

We had fun with cousins and uncles

We saw all sorts of animals...

Camels

Oh wait...here were the camels

Beautiful birds

The penguins were adorable

And giraffes are always one of my top faves

And the fierce grizzly was one of KiKi's favorites

But my absolute favorite today was the gorillas.  They came up right next to the glass and he looked straight at me.  I loved him and wanted to give him the biggest hug!

I wish the glass hadn't been so dirty and glaring, but they were the best I could get.  I loved that guy.

The flowers were also beautiful everywhere..

And the piece de resistance...

It was a beautiful day full of fun and family.  I'll put a few pictures up tomorrow of my cute niece and the kiddos.  One of them involves a hippo.....

The Piano Guys

Watch this, love it.

Then spend two hours and watch all the rest of their videos.  Trust me.

Then make me cookies and send them to me as a thank you.

And while you're at it, you might as well get distracted by this guy....he's well worth it ;)

(That song is for you dad! Get better soon!)

Catching Up

It's been an interesting month or two.  I'm finally taking the time to update the ol' bliggity blog here...mostly because my parents are lacking reading material.  Sorry mom and dad!  Cameron has had a few job interviews this week so we are super hopeful that he'll get a job in the next few weeks and we'll be able to start getting on our own again!  I've been trying to keep myself as busy as I can while we're living here, so I got a part time job at Pottery Barn!  It's been SO fun, I love it so much.  We also joined a gym, so I've been learning how to work out!  Who knew it took so much work?!  I also have been working on a few projects!  One is this baby blanket I made for a friend's baby shower tomorrow night.  I am SO excited to give it to her, I hope she loves it!  It was my first attempt at a blanket like this, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out!

Easter

I can't believe Easter has already come and gone.  Everything is just going so fast lately!  We had a good Easter.  Cameron's cousins came over and we had a yummy dinner and some fun.  Can't wait to hopefully host it at my own house next year!  We took the opportunity to take a few pictures of course!  Kennedi was more than willing, Kai fought it the whole time.  Then we dragged them all in for a family picture!  I just love my little family!

And there she goes.

Man, he is one handsome boy :)

One happy family

KiKi

Here's our little KiKi....we took a few pictures in UT, couldn't resist putting them up here.  Oh, and KiKi is what she calls herself, it's pretty funny.

We love our KiKi

Utah

Over Kai's spring break we went to Utah to visit my parents and more importantly so Kai could learn how to ski!  Papa is a ski instructor at Brian Head, he taught me last year and he was the guy to teach Kai!  We were nervous as to how Kai was going to take it, whether he would be brave enough to do it, or wimp out about it, but he did great!   He still talks about how much he loves skiing and how great he is at it!  He's also super humble :)  I went up to the lodge to have lunch with them one day and got a few pictures of my little skier!

We are so excited to all go together next year!

Granny

Since we moved in with Cameron's mom, we also technically moved in with his grandma too!  She has lived with Sue since last July.  I have loved getting to know her better, and the kids adore her.  She's been in ID visiting her sister the past few weeks and we sure miss her!  I was able to get a few pictures of her before she left.  We love our Granny!

Silly faces.  Kennedi's cracks me up!

Kai's birthday!

Kai turned 6!  Aaagghhh!  He is growing up so fast, I can't believe it.  He is doing so great in Kindergarten, still such a good big brother and we just love him so much!  We had a little family get together for him a couple days before his birthday and then a little party for him with a few friends a few days after.  The most exciting part for him (and us!) was his big birthday present....we were so excited to give it to him.  But he had to go on a hot and cold hunt for it first.

Getting warmer.....

There it is!   He has been wanting and needing a big boy bike for a while now...we kept telling him this summer we'd get him one, so he was totally surprised and loved it!  He also got a Tim Tebow Poster from Papa and Oma, a Nerf gun (can't have enough of those apparently!) and a cool Star Wars lunch box.  And we can't forget about one of the cakes!

Making the wish takes a lot of thought and concentration

For his friend party we had a few friends over and they decorated boxes and watched Puss in Boots in 3D and had some popcorn and snacks.  It was a fun afternoon!

We love you so much Kai!  We couldn't imagine life without you.
