You've Got Mail

One of my favorite movies...and always a fun surprise!! Not e-mail, although I love those too...today I got two packages in the mail! One I was expecting and one was a surprise! The one I'm most excited about? It's finally here!!! Turbo Jam!!!! Whoo hooo! I love it, but didn't have it, and now I can start trying to get back into shape! It's so fun, if you haven't tried it, I would! It's just fun cardio. Second surprise came from a very unexpected source...my OBGYN office. They sent me a "swaddle me" infant wrap...embroidered with Kennedi's name on it! So sweet and unexpected. So it was a good mail day!

On a random note (because this whole post isn't random), it's snowing so hard and fast it looks like rain. Weird.

Week 3

3 weeks have come and gone and we are all surviving and thriving! Her 2 week apt went well, she was back up to her birth weight and had grown a bigger head...probably from all the oooey gooey stuff we say to her all the time :). She is in the 90% for height and head and 85% for weight. Kai is still doing great, he loves her so much and is such a great help to us. Here are some of our favorite things about Kennedi:

She has the deepest dimples when she smiles...I can hardly wait till she starts doing it on purpose!
She almost never fusses and just sleeps all the time...it has made it really easy for me to rest and recover.

We also love....

How she sleeps sometimes... (she was at the beginning of her nap wrapped up and propped up on the pillow.)

How she hates baths....only because she looks so cute after and sleeps so great! (like 6 hours great!) Cruel and unusual punishment? Maybe.

How much Kai loves her and she loves him...And speaking of Kai...here is a little gangsta' shot for you...Cameron thought it was hilarious. Kai loves posing for the camera and any time we take a picture of Kennedi, insists that we take one of him too. Oh dear!Our last favorite thing about Kennedi....she completes the dad sandwich :)


We feel so blessed to have two great kids! We can't wait to see who they grow into! Hopefully we can do them justice :)

A week

and it feels like forever! But in a good way! Kennedi is doing great. She sleeps really great almost never fusses. She didn't enjoy her first bath, but other than that we haven't had any problems! Here's a few fun pictures :)

One week exactly. And this is how she likes to sleep, all cuddled up and snug.



After her bath. She was out like a light. All the fighting and crying really took it out of her, she slept like a rock!
My very poor attempt at a fun picture....lighting was bad and she was not cooperating (still hadn't recovered from the trauma of bath time). But it's kind of fun :)

Kennedi Lee!

After what seems like forever, she is finally here! It was a great and pretty quick labor and delivery! She was 9lbs 3oz and 21 1/2 inches long. We ended up being induced about a week early, they were afraid she was getting too big! Thank goodness we didn't wait any longer! She is so sweet and loves to be cuddled. Kai loves her and is always checking on her to make sure she's ok! He is a great big brother already. Let's hope it lasts after the newness wears off! Here's a few pictures of her through her first few days with us! And a big shout out to my dad who was able to stay a few extra days with us and get to meet her and help with Kai. Thank you!!!!
