This was Kennedi's first real time playing at a park. She's been in swings before, but never super interested. She didn't love it at first, but got into it!! Then didn't like it again and had to be held. She's a weirdo.

UT stuff

So besides my Ski-Day-O-Fun, we did a few other things in UT. We went to St. George...because it's the best and tradition, and it's the best. Did a little shopping, played on the red rocks. The weather Gods were against me however and I didn't get the oasis I had hoped for :( Oh well. It was still fun.

I did it.....and LIVED!!

So after living in Alaska, Utah and Colorado all but about 3 years of my life....I've never been skiing. Worse than that, my dad is a ski instructor at a resort....and I've never been skiing. Welp, that changed today! We went up to Brian Head this morning, after the ink dried on my last will and testament....No need for the will though! I rocked it!! It was so fun, and after lunch I was "paralleling"...ok. Not perfect, but for a first day I was pleased!! And here's the proof :) I realized after I went up the big hill to take pictures...I had to get down somehow!!





And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the ONLY spill of the day...unfortunately I took out a small child while doing so. The father was not pleased but the kid did get up and finish going down the hill. And technically he ran into me.....which was hard to avoid seeing as how I severely cut him off.

I had a great day, can't wait to go again (after I retrieve my legs...pretty sure I left them on the mountain somewhere)..and I'm so pleased my children still have a mother! Thanks dad, for a great day, getting me home safe and more importantly, having fun with something I was scared to do!

What I've been up to...

So we were going to buy a house...even had one under contract, it was a great house...but not right for us. So we decided to reconfigure finances, finish paying off a few things, then start looking again. We're very happy with our decision...but our townhouse is still lacking! So I decided to rearrange, to make these last few months a bit more bearable!! I did all of this in two days...one of them when Cameron was at work, and the other when he was in UT at his bro's lacrosse game.

The main reason for the rearranging of this room is the ginormous play tent I made for Kai for his birthday (see the corner in before pics). There just wasn't a lot of room and it was kind of awkward, but I wanted it up for them all the time. So here's the after....

(you should know that it was clean at one point...but hey. I've got kids...just keepin' it real :)

Then I changed up the dining room and office area...but that's going to have to wait till next week...I have to get going, we're off to UT today!! Wish me luck when I learn how to ski on Monday...my children need their mother.
